Training isn’t about perfection. It’s about everyday habits that make life calmer and safer.

Short, regular sessions work best — and positive, reward-based training helps dogs learn with confidence. 🤝

1. Create Calm on Cue - Teach your dog to relax on a mat when life gets busy.

Do this: reward calm on the mat → add “settle” → build to 1–2 minutes.

Tip: practise when your dog is already calm.

2. Reliable Recall - Coming back should always feel worthwhile.

Do this: start indoors → add a long line outside → give great rewards.

Tip: don’t call if you can’t help them succeed.

3. Walk Without Pulling - Show your dog that a loose lead makes the walk continue.

Do this: reward beside your leg → pause when tight → move when loose.

Tip: teach it at home first.

4. Build Confidence - Let your dog take things at their own pace.

Do this: keep distance → reward curiosity → use sniffing games.

Tip: avoid “too much, too soon.”

5. Polite Greetings - Give your dog a clear job when people arrive.

Do this: teach a mat or sit → practise easy setups → use gates if needed.

Tip: Show what to do instead of scolding.

Small daily reps add up. Celebrate the little wins. 👏
